I don’t regret anything that I went through anything that I experienced.
I really embrace all those things. And it means a lot to be a Marine at this point and where I’m going I think I make a lot of my Marines proud to be where I am today. I decided to join when I was in high school. I knew I wanted to make a change in the world. And you know, help others who couldn’t help themselves. It sort of gave me a light at the end of the tunnel. That this was not an injury that would completely devastate my life where I wouldn’t be able to do anything again. I wanted to take part in it. I wanted to have a mission. I wanted to do something that the doctors told me I couldn’t do. And being the young Marine I was, don’t tell me I can’t do something. No is not an answer. And so I had my goal set in place, so I wasn’t going to fail.
