In Mazar I Sharif, in northern Afghanistan, at Camp Shaeen, the Afghan National Army runs the Afghan Engineering School. Soldiers and officers from all over the country come there to learn new engineering skills such as roadbuilding and to maintain new facilities, run by the Afghan Security Forces. Yes, we have the task to train in combat engineering direction as well as facility engineering areas specialists, officers, NCO’s (non commissioned officers), soldiers to train them for our combat engineering units in the field and also for our garrisons, to keep running our facilities that we got recently new, and built by support from Coalition Forces. A number of advisors and instructors from Resolute Support come every day from Camp Marmal, Train Advise Assist North These instructors teach the Afghan advisors at the school and help them teach their students. Some of those in civilian uniform, some of those in mililtary uniforms, they are coming from our garrisons, who have the responsibility of keep running our facilities, and for that task, they are here to learn carpentry, for example, masonry, electricians, plumbery.
