3 Seconds 4 Ways To Fold Tee’s [0:00:00]
The t-shirt, a classic item in every man’s wardrobe, but how to properly store your t-shirts
between wears? Well, it turns out there are actually at least
four ways to properly store and fold your t-shirts. In today’s video, I’m going to teach you
all four methods including a trick to fold a t-shirt in less than three seconds. Method number one. The basic fold. This is the simple method that most people
default to. Lay the t-shirt out flat face down, fold the
shirt in half from left to right. Then, fold the sleeves in towards the middle. Now, fold the shirt in half from top to bottom. You can either stop here or fold it in half
again to take up a little bit less room. The advantage of this method is it’s simple,
it’s well-known, and it’s equally useful for storage or travel. The main disadvantage is you’re likely to
have some wrinkles and creases develop where you folded the shirt. The second method is known as the marine roll
also called the army roll, but, hey, I’m a marine here. It’s popular in the military for its efficient
use of space. Lay the shirt out flat face up and then fold
the bottom of the shirt up three to four inches. Smooth out the fabric to minimize wrinkles,
then fold the shirt into thirds, start on the left side folding it over the center,
then take the left sleeve and fold it back over the center. You’ll now do the same with the right side
bring it over before folding the right sleeve back to the center. Now, you’re ready to start rolling. Start at the collar making sure you keep the
roll nice and tight. Once you get to the end, you’ll undo the
fold you created at the bottom of the shirt and tuck it over each end of the roll to keep
it in place. This roll takes up very little space, so it’s
perfect for small storage spaces or you’re traveling light with a small suitcase. The disadvantage of the marine roll is it
takes more time than all the other methods. Method three. The hanger. The third method doesn’t require any folding
or rolling, you’re simply going to put your shirt on a hanger and place it in your closet. Make sure though that you use plastic hangers
for this. Wire hangers can cause the dreaded nipple
effect which isn’t a great look and you don’t want basically to have to throw your
shirts into the dryer or launder them again so that the cotton goes back to its original
shape. The main advantage to using the hanger method
is you’re going to avoid the creases and wrinkles that are sometimes caused by folding. In addition, if you’ve got a closet with
a lot of space, this may be a great place to put it versus into a dresser drawer. The disadvantage of the hanger method is if
you have a small closet, it’s going to end up taking a lot of space especially if you
have a lot of t-shirts. And if you travel quite a bit, you’re going
to have to take the shirts off the hangers and then fold them. Method number four and my favorite, the two-second
fold. So, this final method creates a great-looking
fold so fast it’s practically magic. Lay the shirt out flat, smoothing it out to
remove any wrinkles. You’re going to imagine two lines; one that
goes across the middle of the shirt, one that goes top to bottom between the collar and
the sleeve. Where the lines intersect is going to be point
A, the top of the shirt is going to be point B, and the bottom of the shirt is point C.
Pinch point A with your left hand. Make sure to grab both the top and bottom
layer of the fabric. Pinch point B with your right hand, then bring
point B down to point C. You will now uncross your arms and lay the shirt face down on the
table. Use the table to fold the shirt until you
have an even amount of fabric on each side of the shirt. If you want, you can fold it again in the
middle to take up a bit less space. With a bit of practice you can become lightning
fast with this method. There is truly no faster way to fold a t-shirt. There you have it gentlemen, four effective
ways to fold and store your t-shirts. So, whenever you need them whenever you’re
traveling, you’ve got them ready to go. For a detailed step-by-step guide on how to

  2. i dont get it. how tf do you do the 2 sec one? i always fail it even tho om doing the exact same thing. it just ends up in a weird square form and its not correct

  3. Its all crap the 2 second fold is shit i cant even do it i cant see the front of my god damn shirt its brain burning i just put them on my drawer Not even folded its way more easy

  4. Nice video, good work, but dress shirt always have a harder neckline, and the daily stacking needs to be kept stiff, you can check this one:
    @U5T0

  5. The last one is certainly quicker but doesn't folding then introduce the wrinkles fin the first method?

  6. If you cant get the 2 second fold thing, try pinching A with your right hand and B with your left. He said the opposite but i finally got it

  7. It took me about 5-6 times to get the "2 second fold" n that was only bc you didn't mention one important step… When you pull point B to point C, you have to use your right hand to grab point C as well… If you were to say that during your demonstration then I would've gotten the "2 second fold" down the very first time… n honestly, it's more not like there 4-5 second fold; not the 2 second fold anyhow lol

  8. Im sorry but it took me way too much to see that when yoy cross it you grab it again at point c you should have said that fucking slowed it at 0.5 to see it

  9. Of course you're a marine.

Only a marine would include using HANGERS to HANG a shirt in a video titled T shirt FOLDING.

  10. I knew the basic fold since i was a young kid. I fold some of my shirts similar to the marine roll, but dont roll it.
Hmmm. Since when is a hanger considered a 'fold'?
The 2 second fold looks like I 'd just end up with a mess if i tried it.

  11. This is not a hack. A hack is a person that cuts corners when doing a job and does shitty work. Hack, is to chop at something with a sharp edge tool. Hack(ing) illegal entry into a computer or system.

  12. lotta people in the comments being smart asses but these were honestly preatty helpful. 2 Second method is awesome and the roll will come in handy 😀 ty

  13. Really helpful video and wonderfully presented! Thank you very much! Can you tell me the name of the song please? Thank you in advance

  14. I never use the basic fold you showed, puts a nice crease down the middle, vertically, especially if it stays in a drawer for a while, I still use the boot-camp trained method now some 50 years later, speed is great but wrinkles abound.

  15. Just joined the 2 second nation!! That was cool and looks good doing it. Kids were so impressed. Now they learned and love to help with laundry. Thanks

  16. Number 4 does not work for me I’ll give it more practice though Because I know it really works I’ve seen many people do it

  17. Taking the 2 minutes of practice to learn the 2 second fold is really worth it. Mastering it is such a gratifying experience, I wish I could go through it again. Thanks for sharing Real Men Real Style.
