Should BTS Serve In The Korean Army? | ASIAN BOSS

Vamos a ello! No, no lo he hecho. 1. I think they should serve, but all at the same time because there is age difference so there would be always one missing. Ofc as an army I don't want them to go and if athletes get excluded than they should be also excluded from army, but they wouldn't be calm, they know that its their duty.

  2. Let BTS become ARMY for 2yrs but pls all of them cause Bts has more contribution their country ,if BTS serve K-Army we have TXT also we can wait them

  3. They have given so much of themselves. Korea, itself is benefitting from their worldwide success. Tourism, income, positive curtural exchange, and so much more. BTS has given more to the country, and can continue to do so, than others who are exempt from military service. They are serving their country in the best way possible. Being able to have a positive effect world-wide is rare, protect it.
Side note: BTS does need a long break to get healthy and recharge.
    💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

  4. I think people and the media should stay out of it because it is clearly making them uncomfortable if not pressured. Wether they choose to serve or not either way ARMY will always love them and will always be here for them.

  5. i don't think bts NEED to serve in the military but i thibk bts would bc they would prby be in embrassed bc they are so humble. If they do serve in military i think it should for shorter amt or time. her are some faxs: bts are the reason for 1 in 13 tourist coming to korea, they bring more than 3.6 billion dollarrrrsss to korea. so ummm yeah

  6. They are contributing more to the economy as a band, than they would be as individuals in the military. 1 in 13 tourists visit South Korea due to being introduced to BTS. It's one thing to hold a principal but at the cost of something so great? It's not about BTS being famous overseas or having popular music, if fan interest is bringing tourism tax dollars to the south korean people, it should be a no brainer. They bring 4 billion dollars a year to the nation.

  7. As a person who live in europe, i can say that Bts is the first kpop group to be accepted by western society. Kpop used to be only popular among minority group. Bts really paved the way guys. And their achievement for korea and impact on international is no joke. None asians has achieve this far before.

So if bts is an exceptional i would not mind because they deserve it. Just like other athletes, musicians etc.

But also if they really have to enlist, im sure big hit can handle it because they have so many unreleased videos and content so army dont ya worry. It only last 18months/1 year and 6months

  8. I think BTS should go to do the military service. Now I know that they are exempt from it now because of their great work, but I’m sure that BTS members would feel honored to serve. However, it would only be right if they all went in at the same time. I can’t think about BTS with one missing member. It’s either all 7 or nothing. 🙂

  9. The thing is what if they do go threw war and since Bts is such a big inspiration to a lot of people and like what if there's like disaster people panicking they could use them as a way to entertain the citizens and maintained them from going crazy and can be a source of entertainment to relaxing them ik there's hundreds of other kpop groups but since there this high out there these days and are super well know people in korea will see that these famous well know idols are here to help us out and be with us and can keep them calm

  10. I’m sad, but like knowing how the bts members act and everything. I know they will enlist and serve in the army.

  11. ARMYs please…if you want BTS to come back quicker from military sign this petiton: @t
    Why should BTS go together?
if they go together they will come back quicker, it will be only 21 months we can wait for them, we WILL wait for them….and then imagine that comeback tho., if they don´t go together…well…..that means goodbye BTS, cuz they will be a whole group again after 9 years……9 FREAKING YEARS!!!! And let´s not forget that the older members will be too old to preform on stage or do some world tours, also we must acknowledge that they may want to start a family….but the point is that Seokjin is the eldest and by the time they will reunite again he will have (most likely) 35 years, which, if you ask me is a perfect time to start a family (mayybeee a little too old).
So if we put all these facts together…..That means that if they go to military separately, it will take too long, and by the time they finish their military service, they will probably disband, so it would be just 9 years wasted.
On the other hand, if they go together, they would come back after 21 months (1 year and 9 months) and they could continue their journey as k-pop stars a lot longer.
Although I respect if some younger members (like Jungkook), don´t want to go to military yet, but I would also like them to consider all of this if this message somehow gets to them.
And I would like you to like and share this comment so other ARMYs get to read it and help. Thank you.

  12. Hello korean you guys are not the only one who is happy that bts is topping the world…a people like us from North east india are also extremely happy that a look like us represents the world and we are soooo proud of you guys @Army forever

  13. This is my opinion don’t judge me by this …i think our jin were going to military soon that’s why they are do many concerts nowadays…

  14. You know how humble the bts are, i think they will not like it be exempt. They will serve there country so still an honor for them.

  15. I support them to do what is the best for them and what they feel right doing, as an ARMY, I will still love them and support them anyways. Let’s go Bangtan 💜

  16. They are a huge group in the world right now,but besides that, like Namjoon said in his UN speach that they are also just regular guys.Army's will be sad but we will wait for them!

  17. They want to do it it’s not like we can chose there path they want to make there own even if they serve the army or don’t it’s all up to them and the government even tho army would be sad we will still love and remember and wait for the just like us vips wait for Big Bang nothing will change just time

  18. I read in an article that its an issue because it would affect their economy if they left (trillions in Won)

  19. I just want Korea's war to end ASAP and BTS and Korea to be safe and secured
If they go in military, hope BTS return without any problems

  20. Tbh I personally think that BTS contributed so so much to Korea in terms of promotion and what not, but taking part in the military is a different kind of experience as a South Korean that I think BTS should take a part in. And as much as I do want BTS to be an exception, ik that it would be unfair that a group of 7 men get to step back from this obligation no matter how much they already contributed to SK. And BTS already know about the fact that they ARE going to be taking part in the army and they’ve accepted it fully, so all ARMY can do is wait for them to come back with open arms. 💜

  21. Yes they should serve in the military. They are very patriotic of their country and have never stated that they would not do their duty. ARMYS stop whining. You have know that other Idols go into the military they are not different. Wow.

  22. Why it's even a question? Fans just making a fuss about it like its the end of the world but its the law we're talking about.

BTS SHOULD SERVE IN THE MILITARY

  23. Basing on my observation about those Koreans being interviewed, they have no idea how BTS are trying to "export their culture" out on the world. SSSSAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDD.. The people they try to represent doesn't even know how these young men are doing their best to show the best side of their culture. Just made me think how different really are the 7 boys from the other k-pop artists/bands around – THEY ARE GLOBAL, because their fans consist of 70% international & 30% Koreans. So we i-ARMYs will faithfully wait our boys until they finish their military service.

  24. NO NO GOD PLEASE NO, NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! ;-; Srry I don't want them to go ;-; but they have to 🙁 I will cry if one of them dies 🙁

  25. The worst part is that they will go one by one and stuff. It's gonna be a long time till they're all 7. 🙁 maybe some armys will move on until then..

  26. Why are some of you international fan upset , everyone needs to enlist ,even idols . They’ll get jail time if they don’t . We only do it cause the connection between us and North Korea .

  27. I think they should go but not separated, i think they should go together bc if they go together they Will come back in 2022 but if they go separated they Will come back as a group in 2028 or 2029…..and for armys Will be really hard without them this long… I think its better thm to go together…. Who is with me? 😊

i think they ones Who wanted bts to go to military they needed to think about theyr family anf even fans… They needed to ask themselves"what about theyr fans? And family? How would they react to bts bein gone for 9-10 years not as a group?

  28. As an international fan, I honestly think they deserve to be exempted. I feel like they are really spreading Korean culture. Before knowing about BTS, I didn’t know anything about Korea. Now, I’m really interested in the culture and I want to go their someday. They are really good representatives of Korea.

  29. I really don’t want them to go to army but even if they go….
ARMYS WILL BE WATCHING AND WAITING FOR YOU BTS WE PURPLE YOU SO MUCH!

  30. i thought BTS are athlete's, heck, i couldn't dance, sing and not be an athlete. I think in reality its what fits Korea has a whole, BTS has truly helped there country, they should be very proud plus the contributions in charities, I have seen them in both there movies and still walk away of how great athlete's those young men are. could be up to them too, have we thought about that? just a question? But seeing this video i got the impression 7/10 Korean's don't mind them being exempt from the military.

  31. I love BTS but just because they are famous doesn’t mean they can just skip the rules of their country. I doubt they would want to too

  32. If a Jesus born in korea. Jesus will serve military service. In korea Under law Everyone equal. Sports player is warrior. Don't compare golden medallist🏅. concours are differ from pop award

  33. All i know is I’ll wait for them… no matter how long it will take for the 7 members to be back together

  34. Even if BTS will soon break apart… I’m sure ARMYs will still stand strong. Besides, even if they will be gone, they won’t be forgotten.

  35. I’m more than ready to wait till they all served. Even if it’ll take 10 years or even more, us ARMYs will still stand strong.

  36. Something that just came to my mind is, will it be possible for all of them to join together? I think it is because South Koreans can be 18-28 to join. They are all mature enough to go right…? I just don’t want to fall apart, I’m not talking about the music and stuff. I’m mostly heartbroken that they’ll be away from each other…

  38. It'd be interesting to know what they think now that BTS has grown exponentially since the time of this interview. Technically, BTS has won 1st for a major Billboard award and are arguably on their way towards a Grammy. This may change things, even though the eldest member Jin said they would be honored to serve. Thank you for the perspective of these Korean citizens through your interview! Keep putting out good content. I love the pressing topics.

  39. If bts are really going to the military we army should be happy for them even if we cry because when bts cryed they still put a smile up for us now we need to do the same..bts might leave but that dosnt mean there 100% gone we still can play there songs/be there fan forever we may be hurt when they leave but this probably will hurt bts more then us so lets be proud of them..bts will still be there and army will to 😭😃 let's enjoy them now and stop thinking about this 👍😃❤

  40. Even though people outside South Korea have no say in this matter, the amount of impact only BTS is making in their country’s economy should give them a chance to be exempt from the mandatory military service. They could be serving their country even more by doing what they’re doing now. Despite seeing BTS as celebrities using their popularity as an excuse to not complete the military service, they should be seen as seven individuals who are making extraordinary contributions in their own country’s economy through their profession and impact.

  41. I think it’s good to serve for their country but really I’m gonna be upset when they’re gonna go but still I’m gonna be waiting for them until they come back. 💜

  42. According to the latest report by Hyundai Research, BTS brings economic wealth amounting to USD3 Billion plus to South Korea economy last year. If BTS's activities are hampered because the members have to leave for their military service, it is the business circles who are at a loss.
Imagine, in just 4 days (during BTS 5th Muster fan meeting events held in Busan and Seoul in June 2019), BTS generated USD400 million plus for these cities through economic ripple effects (such as in tourism, food and hotel industries). BTS or BigHit may not lose much because they can always make musical contents in advance and release the contents later.

  43. Although, I already think BTS are a very educated and wise bunch, I think serving in the military will be a great learning experience for them.

  44. Ik I'm greatly biased – but WTH!! BTS is contributing SO MUCH to South Korea way more than they would in an army! I mean pls recognize that at least 😫😫😫

  45. Asian boss means asia right.. but mostly content here is focussed on korea .. and korea korea… but OK then

  46. Im confused its 18-35 correct? So why dont they go together? Jungkook is old enough and so are the others. So why don't they go together?

  47. True! Making them serve in the military is a more loss than adding 7 soldiers in the war! It wouldnt make any difference!!!

  48. I’m just sad I didn’t see them this year… I should’ve went to this years concert and I should stop getting high hopes for a tour next year😕

  49. In my country the military service is not necessary, but I think that all people has to have the same rights, if a "normal" person needs to go them the k-idols needs to go too, they are all the same. On the other hand, BTS are now the number one of many countries, like you really can't count the countries because are so many, kpop is now passing on Europe and its just crazy the way people are about it, so because they are "helping" Korea to be known I think they shouldn't go to the military service. But at the same time I think they should because they all are Korean and it's the law and like the guy said k-idols are treated differently on the military service so it's not difficult to them, I think.. (sorry for my English, I'm portuguese… And don't hate me I just gave my opinion….)

  50. Well the age your supposed to serve at the military is 18 – 28 and Jin has 2 more years I think they'll all go at the same time so they might go this year to get it over and done with I don't want them to go I'll miss them and and every else will as well 🙁 but I support them in whatever choice they choose

  51. At 5:50 you can hear 어쩌나 (Oh My!) – Seventeen being played in the background. Even though this video's discussion is such a heavy topic, I couldn't help but find that funny. Carats gotta be Carats.

    ================================

I believe that the members of BTS should do their mandatory service. It's their law, and we should respect that. To them, it's an honour to serve their own country, and we shouldn't take that away from them. Does that mean I'd be unhappy if they weren't to go? No! I'd be happy! Even if they take that chance of exemption, I'd respect that. Only thing is that they should address is going together, that needs to happen.

  52. Oh well it will be sad for a the army's..
But BTS will never be forgotten..
I tink they should server in the military because they will still be servings there country ..
Although it won't be the same

  53. If there is one thing I know about Bangtan, it’s this: they are incredibly proud and love their country and culture. They will without a doubt, serve in the military. I think it would set a strange precedent if they do not, but I do acknowledge that they have set the world on a better path and have represented their country internationally very well. Better then very well. They are truly good role models today and their music has healed many, and have touched many. I am one of those many and I’ll always be grateful.

Korea should be proud of them no matter what happens.

  54. They should be exempt and here's why. Long time ago here in America we had a guy named Elvis Presley. At the time we also had a military draft. He got drafted and went in at the hieght of his career. When he went in for basic there's fans there's to see him fans here fans there. I'm sure celebraties get treated different as did Elvis. He was drafted and went in just like bts will do as they have stated before. However imagine Elvis times seven. Wherever they are stationed there's gonna be army wanting and waiting somewhere outside to catch a glimpse to take a pic of em in thier uniforms anything all the time. It will be such a distraction to the daily business of the Korean military that it will not be worth having those seven boys in it. Just like Elvis after so long that gave him an early honorable discharge and let him go back to what he was doing. Bts has generated over 3.6 billion in revenues for the Korean nation. That's more than alot if countries GDP. Why would Korea want to put a halt on that kind money and exposure. I hear that people come to soul just because bts is based there. I mean this is a no brainier.

  55. I feel like I have an idea to save bts from separating:
Have all 7 of them join the military at the SAME TIME and when they are done serving the country they will be BACK IN BUSINESS!!!!!!

  56. whoever ends up in the same cohort or team with BTS, CAN BE HAPPY!! heheh okay sorry im just kidding, military is tiring and draining both physically and mentally. having them as a team mate won’t benefit them in any way. whatever it is, i just wish the best to everyone!!🙌🤗

  57. No exemptions. We get enough high profile people that are exempt from the law here in the U.S. Trust me, it's not something you want in SK.

  58. I think international armies are more upset about it then Korean armies because it's not required like it is in korea. I'm talking for America not other countries but you get to choose if u want to go to the military it's not forced or required in America but in korea it is so it's normal for them.

  59. I don't want the BTS to go military in there life they want to be free but my answer to them "Don't go BTS" your are only my sunshine to my life please don't go I love your song's and You are only laughing me every I'm watching you if you go I will say to you all GOOD BYE BTS WE LOVE you so much to my life you are my life and you are my crazyest fan.

  60. Whether they should or not is not in your hands people As BTS has if duty calls they'll respond.

They never said even exempted, they'll go to the military. Anyone who is offered an exemption, takes it happily, some men even make excuses to get out of this so, if BTS are allowed exemption, and they decide not to go, I don't wanna hear any hate on them. Their life their choice.

"If duty calls we'll go," it does not mean they WANT to go, it means they have to go so they'll go

I seriously hope if they're offered exemption, they won't make a decision according to the haters.

  61. From an economic standpoint, I honestly believe that sending BTS to the army wouldn't really do much good as they are very popular on the international scale. Winning multiple awards too which proves their success and they just have alot of commercial success with merch, tracks, listeners, and etc. Ironically, I believe they should still enlist because they are korean citizens, and every male in my family did serve. However, if I was concerned with the market and income/status the BTS boys have bought in, I wouldn't send them for that reason. Of course there are other factors such as ethics, morales, and laws, but I just believe this situation is a double edged sword in a sense.
