doing the most good that's been the Salvation Army's mission since the late 1800s it's an international movement and it's all been funded by proceeds and donations from family thrift stores like this one there's currently over 1500 Salvation Army stores across the US and growing all of them providing neat and clean clothing many of them designer names all at a fraction of their original price and as always every dollar goes directly into the programs the Salvation Army provides to those who need it the most I always thought just before Thanksgiving just before Christmas the food pantry of the Red Kettle you know that's what I thought Salvation Army was it's so much more than that and there are so many programs that they have that help people will work in social services helping the homeless helping those that have some sort of a natural disaster fires and floods and tornados and all of that the area that we work in is the adult rehabilitation center so what kind of great deals can you get at the Salvation Army family thrift store let's find out it's like shopping at a regular retail store you know at the closer neat the tags are readable the you know the clothes are clean hung up well everything's neat and just like shopping on TJ Maxx I just got this coat at the Salvation Army for five dollars so as you can see it's kind of think it's cashmere but it feels like it is you want to feel it I like coming to the Salvation Army because I'm a college student I don't make too much money and it has really good clothes for very very low amount of money Framingham State Day which was last month we had 25 students signed up they came here on that Saturday we were here like six hours the staff at the Salvation Army could not have been nicer they put up with all of us for six hours and our students got to pick out a free professional business outfit for the in it for their interviews and of course some recent graduates are wearing them through their interviews into their jobs you can find things that are different not I hate wearing the same thing as everybody so you get to put together different outfits it's affordable doesn't matter what your job is and it's the bargain of it I just love being able to pick up a shirt and say oh looks only $2.99 and you don't feel guilty buying anything because and it's doing good right doing the most good it goes to a good cause so it's a win-win The Salvation Army family thrift stores giving you the best of all things great deals a unique selection of items you can't find anywhere else recycling goods to help protect our environment but most importantly giving it all back to the community where we'll truly do the most good you
