Russia vs The United States – Who Would Win – Military Comparison

Russia vs The United States The annual defense budget of Russia is $47
billion which is 3.9% of their GDP. The annual defense budget of the United States
is $664 billion, which is 2.4% of their GDP. Russia has a total population of 143 million
people, with 47 million who are fit for service. It has 7
66,000 who are active front-line personnel, and it has 2.5 million who are active reserve
personnel. The United States has a total population of
321 million people, with 120 million fit for service. It has 1.4 million people who are active front-line
personnel, and it has 1.1 million who are active reserve personnel. The United States front-line manpower is more
than twice the size than that of Russia; but if both nations called on their reserves Russia
would have the overall manpower advantage by 700,000 personnel or 21%. The United States is absolutely outmatched
when comparing both nations tanks, with only 8,800 tanks going up against Russia’s massive
arsenal of 15,400 tanks. The United States makes up some ground with
their armored fighting vehicles, with 41,000 AFVs against Russia’s 31,300 AFVs. Other land units that both armies employ are
Self-Propelled Guns, Towed Artillery, and Multiple Launch Rocket Systems. When comparing aircraft strength, the United
States vastly overpowers Russia with 13,444 aircrafts compared to Russia’s 3,547 aircrafts. Looking at naval power, the United States
has a slight edge with 415 total ships going up against Russia’s 352 total ships. There are two major points of interest however. The United States boasts 19 aircraft carriers
against a SINGLE aircraft carrier for Russia. However, Russia owns 81 Corvette warships
against the United States’ ZERO. On the subject of nuclear warfare, the United
States has 5,100 warheads on stand-by. Russia controls less than half of that, with
2,200 warheads on stand-by. We must remember that almost every ground
vehicle, aircraft, and naval unit needs fuel to be employed. Russia consumes 3.3 million barrels of oil
a day and produces 10 million barrels daily with a massive 80 billion barrel oil reserve. The United States currently consumes 19 million
barrels of oil a day and produces 9 million barrels daily with a 37 billion barrel oil
reserve. Perhaps the most important resource when it
comes to war are allies. The United States boasts treaties that ally
them with over 54 nations. Russia has only 5 documented allies. Experience also plays a big factor in the
strength of a military and its commanders. The United States has been involved in 103
wars dating back to 1776. Russia has been involved in 107 wars dating
back to 1480. As we progress through the digital age, cyber
warfare is becoming a critical part of a nation’s strength. The United States is known to be investing
heavily in cyber warfare with their Cyber Command Program. Russia will not share information about their
advances in cyber warfare. This is a brief look at how these two nations
match-up against one another. Who do you think has a stronger army? Let us know in the comments! Also, don’t forget to like the video and

  1. EARTH DEFENCE POLICY. "We must fight each other to achieve peace. It's critical we defend against our biggest enemy….Ourselves…"🤔. Think about what the elite have indoctrinated us to believe….Crazy isn't, our biggest enemy is the human race itself.

  2. Wait…
You forgot to mention America's most powerful weapon "Noobmaster69"…
    Even Thor couldn't defeat him…

  3. The US has the bigger muscles in this fight. But Russia's strength has always been it's geography, seasons and size. If a conventional war were to break out Eastern and Central Europe would be most devastated, whilst the US would spend years improving it's tech, sending supplies and spending years attacking Russia until Russia made peace. The casualties would be enormous for both sides as well, even w/o using nukes. War will never happen.

  4. If both sides had no allies America would loose on land but would heavily bombard Russia's land for the Navy it depends on strategy.

  5. If nukes from both sides were discounted then i think america would slapped like they usually do.
The american military should be called the US ATM because all it does is withdraw.
I dont think the sweet suburban kids moral would last too long and lose moral after their first fatality

  6. To say that the U.S. is beat on tanks is not accurate, 3/4 of Russia's tanks are outdated ww2 vintage. All U.S. tanks are current and up to date, the U.S. and Russia are pretty close to equal in this arena!!!

  7. America likes life… hence the world would have to act… were not able to start… we already won and love you…

  8. [̲̅J̲̅][̲̅G̲̅] ][̲̅N̲̅][̲̅a̲̅][̲̅m̲̅][̲̅b̲̅][̲̅i̲̅][̲̅a̲̅][̲̅r̲̅] says:

1.3 billion support to mother RUSSIA from INDIA

  9. Russian will easly win the war coz russia take help from India, china Kazakhstan, japan these country are enough to clean Usa, west Europ in easy word all world

  10. I honestly believe in a conventional war, that america would and could defeat russia, the russians brag about there tank numbers, but the vast amount of them are very old, also americas navy and air force ,I believe are much more powerful than russia, so yes, i believe they could hurt us, but in the end america would be the cear winner, in a nuclear war, we both lose.

  11. I don’t think that the fact of US participating in 103 wars in just the last 250 years is entirely correct. In Wiki it states that there were only 23. I live in the US and I know all the 23 wars like WW2, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Bay of pigs, Iraq, etc. But I have never heard of any other. And there is supposed to be 80 more wars I wasn’t taught in history. I would recommend to recheck this statement

  12. Comparing numbers doesn't mean anything tho…
Battle is all about strategy, quality and randomness.
Having muscles but no brains means loosing the war.
    And with that being said…
Instead of comparing these numbers you should have compared things like:
Quality of soldiers, military programs, competent generals, tech etc.
Whoever has more in this wins the war….(ignoring life's randomness that is. Sometimes life's randomness can quickly shift a battle and the winner suddenly becomes the looser)

  13. The second these two war titans decide to fight is the second we need to start digging our own graves because neither Russian nor United States citizens will come out alive from the massive war.

    Did I mention nukes?

  14. the Tsar Nuclear Bomb is what people forget the most powerful nuclear bomb in the world that can erase my country of the globe in second (Hungary)

  15. America for life🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷

  16. This video is great, but where and how the battles take place would play a huge roll, such as an assault on the U.S.A. Russia’s grounded military would almost come in useless since deployment will be very difficult. Because of the location of the U.S the need of naval and air superiority is much more needed then ground.

  17. Could you do NATO Vs USSR ? Maybe you can select a time period like 60s or 80s ?

I know it could be tricky to do, But One I would like to see anyways.

  18. I say The US might win because when they begin the fight they would probably be in stale mate because of Russia’s cold winter

  19. I would say that Russia will win if the two country does not use nuclear wapon….because Russia has got two big brother, India and China.

If the country use nuclear than probably the world will end.

  20. Russia would destroy USA in British I see Russians nuclears and under sea technology advances plus there new drones no way Yanks can’t dodge those Russia will blow Yankee land away in matter of minutes this coming from a Brit

  21. U.S looks weak. This dude Obama made U.S weak he even loves muslims more the christians. HECK At least Trump kicked them out but Obama made it weak.
