MOLLE Waist Pack How-To and intro

hey everybody Tim glass here from hole drops and military surplus in the back room here back area where all your orders get shipped in processed and I wanted to take a minute here to talk to you about one of the items that's probably the most underrated in the molle system but people don't understand a lot and that is the Molly waste pack now what I talk about that I'm talking about the actual military issue one not the achieved Condor imitation but packed want to be things and I want to show you there the difference is here on why they're different they're what what to look for and all the good things you can use these for because right now in the surplus market they are one of the best bang for the buck as far as the utility you get and everything that you can do with it okay the first thing I'm going to tell you is that when you're looking for one of these look for one of the real military issued ones right now at the time I'm making this video and at least for the next few years there's a lot of surplus ones out there keeping up there's no reason to buy a cheap Chinese copy of this item the real military one will have a zipper and they'll have these straps around do two purposes that make the closure stronger and also our backup in case your zipper breaks from the field but they also will go out bigger than the packs will to allow you to latch stuff to the outside and I'll show you more about that in a minute zipper on the military ones very heavy duty compare one of these so cheapest the zipper on the Chinese one and it'll be the cheapest flimsy zipper you can find there's no comparison real military ones will have the military labels most of them are made by a specialty group you'll see also variations of that name depending on when they change ownership just be BAE dispensed on some of them that's really the same company some of them also made by Michael Bianco's famous holster maker but you'll see all those as you can see here there is a pretty good amount of capacity here 390 cubic inches now it has the MOLLE straps on it right here this is important because this allows you to use it several ways you can clip these and run it straight on the have either a pencil belt or your trouser belts as a standard but pack and you see right there or say you've got a pack like a three-day assault pack this is a really nice tru-spec one and you just need that little bit of extra space in it but you don't want to buy a new pack it's got Molly loops on it that can attach there you can attach there it can attach there you can even go with mouthfuls you can easily double the capacity of this pack using multiples of these waste packs and you would have a lot less in it than buying twice as big attack but also you get modularity because you can have different loads you know I'm going patient here's my fishing pack put it on there well I'm going to be out when it's a little colder here's some more cold weather gear put it on there I'm going to be out a couple days longer more food you can you can tailor to what you're going to be doing mission specific and just have these sitting there packed or keeping up you can get them put them back and just add them on and then you can also remove them say alright this is my little day pack whereas this is going to stay back at my campsite I'm going to go out just for a little power to you take that off food you got it now they say why do you call it a lace pack throw you know tucked up under there is your waist belt that's the nice thing they put the loop there you can tuck it out of the way good quality plastic buckle you can either wear that around the waist or you can sling it over as bandolier thrown over the shoulder I've worn both ways make it also good grabbing those packs now the majority of these out here are ACU camo right now this is a pattern that's out there don't let that get you down you guys know I'm always talking about how camo patterns aren't that critical because there you go two minutes a little bit of spray paint camo spray paint different colors and then I feel a little gray on there too total difference complete much better in most environments and you can tell that's whatever your environment is desert environment or tans and grades or marshlands two more pins more tan Browns going to be out in the jungle more dreams don't sweat it I mean that was really 50 cents worth of spray paint out of the cans not like you're using a whole can only we've got good spray paint that actually works really well for these on the website okay yeah how much can you actually get in one let me show you the way I set one up for customer not long ago here you see one I've got him a canteen on there you can use a moly cover or an ALICE cover I prefer using the hours covering this configuration because it works a little bit better on the thinner belt but either one will work in there I'm going to pull it out there we've got other videos on this I have a canteen cup and a canteen cup stove so there's my water I need to cook something in and the little stove of cooking on I talked about how these straps go bigger there's my poncho that's my shelter my wet weather gear you guys could probably see where I'm going on with this this has and the versatility now this is pretty packed which is actually still a little bit wrong but I've got a little bit of stuff in here there's a GIS magnesium fire starter oh we got to have some MRE stuff there's some jalapeno to spread that stuff virtually currency in military circles oatmeal cookie oh look at that that'll bore a nice accessory package got coffee Matthews toilet paper gum memory crackers vegetable crackers I got a few more calories so if you're packing in there's some refried beans so you don't want to share the 10 that you eat those women out here a beef enchilada oh look at that we got a would be in there here's your installation at night to sleep in all that in there up picante sauce and then we'll still room to spare so I have food water nice needs to start fires times to shelter all in that little pack ready to go pretty impressive what you could set these up for for a really quick grab and go Kia I've also had customers that set them up for their grab and go first aid kit I've had several law enforcement customers get them to make their active shooter first aid kits in they've got one of the Molly Magazine bandoliers for their magazines they got one of these for a medical gear and they can grab them both out of the trunk and go in seconds so many uses for these they're one of the most underrated things on the Molly system market right now so think about all the things you can use it for and check us check them out in the butyl hold of some of them okay hope that explains a lot about how great these items are and what a great value they are you can't beat them for the amount of versatility you get out of them and for the value you get with them so check us out on the land that old Graz comment as always we'll have these in stock and as cheap as possible for as long as we can but with surplus we can't always control the spice it's not like the guys that just have a bunch of Chinese stuff they can only get it so buy it when you can get it that's what we do and that's what you have to do hope this video was helpful if you liked it be sure to share it with your friends that follow us on Facebook and follow us on YouTube thanks a lot

  1. Ive ordered probably 3 or 4 times over the years and it was always positive. Ordered bandoliers once, but was sent mag pouches by mistake. He was nice, sent out the bandoliers and told me to keep the mag pouches for my troubles.

  2. He did the same to me. I'm going to show up at his door and HE WILL NOT LIKE IT! It's way to bad that some piece of shit pulls this kind of crap. Called a total of 68 times and yes I have proof. In addition, got a hold of this asshole 3 times and there was a excuse every time.
Hey ASSHOLE….. you're not going to like seeing me. By the way I have to drive 4 hours one way and I WILL BE THINKING OF YOU EVERY MINUTE! As a synopsis, I am going to copy and paste this on all your videos including getting in contact with the Better Business Bureau.

  3. Just read poor reviews about you and your company. Answer your phone and fill your orders. Do you really want gun people angry with you? You might attract some nutcase who might make you their personal project.

  4. All I see are bad reviews for this guy and his website doesn’t come up.

Just another fly by night online crook

  5. Crooked Crooked Crooked.. They charge your card and don't ship you any items.. Then if you cancel your order they will say they are refunding your account but never do.. There is always some lame excuse.. Run Away!! Run Far Far Away!!!!

  6. Nailed it when you mentioned how useful they really are. One of our younger veterans of our deer camp crowd has five of them lashed to a fiberglass pack frame and is able to bring everything needed for a seven day camp. I have a few of them floating around that we use for camping or day packs and after watching what you packed I'm going to put one together for her car and mine.

  7. What do you mean cheap Condor pouches? US soldiers have used Condor pouches because their US issued gear wouldn't last.

  8. We used the older version to carry MOPP suite during the First Gulf War. There great and can be used for many different things.

  9. use rit dye to dye mine olive drab along with my pack also used a mess laundry bag and sprayed it with black fabric paint and a little rust or burnt burgundy

  10. Hey Folks, don't buy from this guy. It's been 3 weeks since I ordered my items and they still haven't been shipped. He doesn't answer his emails, his 888 number is out of service and the regular phone line is always busy. Go somewhere else.

  11. really hesitate contacting you here but I have been emailing and calling (constant busy signal) for weeks. Ordered a ruck and sustainment bags and have a problem with my order and need you to contact me ASAP order #17197

  12. great video, appreciate the info! I noticed hanging in the background, a molle II rucksack and my question is how the mil issue waist pack can properly be attached to the rucksack. thanks

  13. Spray paint cloth field gear? If you take that out in the field and get it wet and handle it you'll be very sorry you ever had that bad idea. Looks cool in the video,, not so cool after you get that wet paint all over you and whatever it touches 😂😂😂‼️ 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

  14. I believed that you really like the mil issue gear. I have this waist pack. The fun is figuring out what to do with it.

  15. Brother I have a question . I found what I found to be a vietnam era canteen /cover and cup . The canteen cover is the abnormality . It has the marking of NAM era . Although after 2 to 3 hours online I failed to find another one like it . The difference lays in the leather loops affixed to the cover with what seems to be brass rivets . This stuff looks aged to . And all the loop 5 in total are useable and intact . For a size reference . The two on the right and left sides have enough room to clip a medium carabiner or a aaa battery for instance fits in either of those snugg . Now there is only one on the bottom and it actually has a steel loop hanging off it . But for reference on the bottom leather loop I have medium hands and can fit my middle finger up to the knuckle . I was just hoping you may be able to tell me if this was made originally like this and if so for what unit . As I said I scoured the net and couldn't find one like it . I appreciate any info or or references you may have to share on this canteen cover . Thank You and I hope to do business soon . You guys should contact Full Spectrum Survival Channel . They are collaborating with a plethora of other homesteaders and preppers for a huge 4 day homesteading prepper educational event in which there will be 4 days of camping and people learning . Maybe you guys could work a deal . It is going to be in ALABAMA June 1 -4 of 2017 . Thank You and God Bless

  16. I recently ran across the large or 20% larger cans of the best or better than rusto paint at my local wall mart . They had all colors in the 20% larger cans . FYI . Anyway I just painted a light ACU jacket and it looks great . Not only that with some things including the lighter color of ACU one can easily die into a darker green and then use a Black paint and or grey as you did . But the darker rit dye will do wonders with the acu . CRITICAL THINKING GUYS AS WELL AS CREATIVE THINKING . .

  17. Hi Tim, would this hold more than the ALICE buttpack? im looking for something a little bigger that can fit on my Y harness. Would this, or maybe the molle sustainment pouch be options?
