Military Police Unit returns from Afghan Tour



they say a picture can tell it all and these images are definitely evidence of that I'm Greg Larry for Hampshire EG calm it was smiles shouts hugs and tears all around my Saturday April 29 as the men and women of the 370 second military police company returned home to their loved ones following a tour in Afghanistan the 370 second which arrived at the US Army Reserve in cresaptown Marilyn includes among its ranks five soldiers from Hampshire County West Virginia the local members returning home were amber Lewis david has it feel to have have her back home and we're back feels good good feeling yep chandra how about you it was really amazing John Garber Jeremy her John hano with another member michael watson to return at a later date Watson is currently escorting the company's equipment home the sun shine bright on the nearly 300 people who were bursting with excitement and feelings of patriotism as they reunited with their loved ones love you too the 370 second spent a majority of their time in Afghanistan centered in Kandahar and the Helmand province among many duties the company was responsible for working with and training local Afghan soldiers the company was called into one last formation where they received an expression of gratitude before they were dismissed for the final time the families welcome back how about a big round of applause special privilege here today about 10 months ago we took off game with chargers responsibilities 52 square kilometers of battle space three critical pieces of infrastructure in a country we didn't know anything about we trained 238 Afghan National Police and their security force assistance for msrs were patrolled every day I don't have to tell you what things we went through these gentlemen will give you opportunity each and every day once they get the opportunity to loosen up a little bit and tell you what they went through but the one thing i want to tell you without your support without what you guys did stay in touch with these soldiers to give them the support they need none of this would have been possible we faced adversity we face the enemy that was unknown we faced things I can begin to tell you whether hardships elements and the meetings i went to i had the opportunity to sit in rooms with generals and Colonels and people that i'd even know and each every time you know what they did they talked about these soldiers they talked about these heroes that's what they did every day every meeting I went to see they told me about what these guys were doing on the ground and the one thing i want to tell you from my heart thank you because without each and every one of you without this to look forward to i don't think any of that would've been possible thank you thank you for being here today it won't forget it feeling we had when we drove down this Highway it's all of you waiting to greet up these people are heroes specialist terms how's it feel to be home on American soil and back in their home area as outstanding sir I'm grateful to be here we're grateful for what you didn't glad to have you back what's the first thing you're going to do when you leave here get some fungi food or what's on tap hopefully go back into sleep loading my parents house getting nice meal and I know it's limited to what you can say that house the last year been it's been crazy it has it wasn't as bad as I thought of a B but I'm glad it's over you are you glad to have this soldier home yes that you are and how about you mom how's it feel to have very big really how's it been to last year for your class Lee wondering yeah one liner and what's going on hey Devon day and you sir how's it feel to help amber back I'm glad I'm proud of my sister for what she accomplished as you all should be thank you so much for your time thank you for a second okay i'm here with sergeant ya know sergeant it's great to have you back here in the area how's it feel to be home it's awesome amazing but at the same time and I know you're limited what you can say but how was your to work for was actually very wonderful we have to do a lot of good things help out a lot of people a lot of people would benefit than what we did out there I started up a electric company helped the police get to where they need to be great function and how does it once part describe how's it feel to be right here this day you're safely back that in America unless you've got it before words cannot describe how great it feels to actually be back on American soil now you are what you're into graduate i graduated in the year 2000 2000 from Hampshire high school yes sir alrighty and now you'll go back home for a while is that the over to jeff's counter yes sir I actually I currently live in Maryland but i'll be home for a couple weeks
