How To Make A Halloween Themed Military Care Package

my name is Meghan your fitness crafting
chick and if this is your first time here welcome if you like what you see
consider subscribing in this video I’m going to show you how to make a spooky
care package that pretty much can be sent to anybody although I am sending
mine to my deployed soldier overseas if you’d like some more information on how
you can adopt a soldier of your own go ahead and grab my free e-guide right in
the description without further ado here we go I started by cutting out some SVG files
of horror characters that I found on Etsy with my cricut on some white vinyl
and then adhering it to 12 by 12 cardstock if you don’t have a cricut
you could always just get some really creepy stickers next I start with my big
items first you always want to try to fill as much of the box as possible
trying to place your bigger items and heavier items on the bottom of the box
the less space that you have the better then I just took some spooky boxes
filled it up with some candy here we’ve got some Jolly Ranchers and just kind of
shoving it in in between the Pringles also grab some emergency this is great
for them for their vitamin C keeping their energy levels up and making sure
they’re not sick while they’re on their deployment next I took some paper
coffins filled them with some water enhancers and some packages of peanuts
and trying to fill all the empty space the more that you can give them
individual things the better off it is that they can just grab and go here
we’ve got some chewy granola bars I try to alternate between healthy and not so
healthy food again just trying to fill all the spaces
of the boxes next I’m trying to make a plane so I can pack some stuff on top so
I’m just taking some sunflower seeds to try to make a flat plane again I try to
always make these boxes in layers because it’s fun for the soldier to now
know what’s coming next and it’s easy for you to pack as much stuff as
possible sometimes it can take some rearranging to make sure that everything
fits just right beef jerky is a great source of protein soldiers love beef
jerky can’t forget the sour patch kids got those right in on the corner next
the fun happens take some snack bags that you can get right at Walmart and
start filling them with candy and other various things this just gives it more
of a horror feel and it makes your soldier feel like Christmas because they
don’t know what’s in them lastly I just had some leftover water
enhancers this particular soldier loves water enhancers so you can do the Meo
and then you can just do as many packs as possible the more the better that you
can shove in there because he will share with his friends found some Halloween
cards and Halloween slime too you want to take some spiderweb material
you don’t want to use the whole thing as it is quite a bit and you want to just
cut that and then put that over the top of your box to give it a more of a
Halloween feel take some plastic spiders and little things that you can find and
then just decorate the top of the box black plastic fangs are a huge hit with
deployed soldiers I would suggest not putting black spiders in there
especially if they are deployed in the desert you don’t want to scare them and
have them actually think that there are spiders that have gotten into them boxes
so stick more with your greens and your purples and there you have it your box is
complete go ahead seal it up don’t forget to fill
out your customs form and wait for your soldier to get his Halloween surprise
