How to find your fit: Men’s jackets

Dalton: Hi, I’m Dalton Graham, founder of
The Tailored Man. Ash: And I’m Ash Williams, and I haven’t founded
anything. Dalton: And today, we’re going to talk about
putting the cherry on the top of any great outfit, the perfect fitting jacket.
Ash: How do I look? Dalton: Ridiculous. We’re going to go through
a few easy steps to find the perfect fitting jacket when shopping online.
Ash: I look good. Dalton: No, you don’t.
Dalton: When measuring yourself for the perfect fitting jacket, there’s just one item you
need. Ash: Well I’ve got three, which one do I use?
Dalton: You’re going to pick yourself up a tailor’s tape measure.
Ash: Am I going to measure myself? Dalton: Well, you can. But today, I’m going
to give you a hand. Ash: good man.
Dalton: For our first measurement, we’re going to measure the chest. Whack your arms up.
When you’ve got the arms up, we’re going to wrap the tape measure around the chest, to
the front. Put the arms down, that will give you an accurate chest measurement. While you’re
there, you can move down to the waist, making sure the tape measure is on the top of the
hips and around to the front of the belly button. That measurement should be spot on.
Ash: That was easy. Dalton: Easy as that.
Ash: Alright Dalton, I’m all measured up buddy, what else do I need?
Dalton: Well one thing you might come across when shopping for a jacket online is different
fits: Long, short, and regular fittings. Those above the six foot mark tend to be a long.
Those below, you’re probably going to be a short or a regular fit.
Ash: Dalton, my jacket’s here. Dalton: Did you check it back to the sizing
chart? Ash: I sure did.
Dalton: Did you check the returns policy? Ash: Yep.
Dalton: Well let’s see how it fits. Ash: I reckon it’s gonna be a perfect fit.
Dalton: What a fit. Ash: Thought so.
Dalton: If you need any more help or advice on men’s online shopping, make sure you check
out the rest of our guides. Ash: Fits good.
