Hey Guys today for the first time a video review for a light outdoor shoe I’m wearing here the Haix Black Eagle Athletic 2.0 in the GoreTex version the Haix has replaced my Lowa Zaphiyr Not because I do not like it anymore but because I also wanted to try something new again and what I like about the boot and what not, you can now find out in the video. Well, have fun! The Black Eagle Athletic 2.0 is a lightweight sporty shoe for work and leisure which is a good all-rounder with a low weight and a relatively robust design. The combination of velour leather and textile creates the necessary robustness without losing the airy feel. In addition, a weight of only 575 grams per shoe at size 43 is achieved. In addition, I have chosen the shoe in the Gore Tex variant so the feet are not immediately wet with small puddles or stream crossings. Those who are prone to sweaty feet and want to use the shoes for the summer, should probably do without the GoreTex. Since the boot is only ankle high, also with GoreTex any misstep can lead to wet feet. To protect against mechanical effects and wear, there is only an attached plastic overcap. The heel cup for stabilization inside, however, also offers some protection. The non-slip sole is as always with Haix very handy and runs already from the first day very pleasant, but you have to shrink the shoe a little bit. According to Haix, the degree of damping of the sole was adapted to the human musculoskeletal system and is thus intended to protect the joints and intervertebral discs. The erosion or resistance of the sole is good and I have after a summer into the fall into no major abrasion on the shoe or worse. Here I have to say, however, that I have only run a little on asphalt and rather on forest soil and gravel or stony trails. The lacing is kept simple, comes without hooks and like the whole shoe without metal. There is also a quick lacing system that I already knew from my Haix Scout. Just tighten and done. For loosening, take hold of the slide and open in the sliding direction. If you do not like the system, you can simply remove it and, of course, lace the shoes as normal. At the top of the flap, there is a handy Velcro compartment to stow the excess lengths. For the next model, I would like to get a little more Velcro here. Let’s go inside before coming to a conclusion. Here we have around the ankle and over the entire flap a pleasant light and airy upholstery. The gray lining material is very resistant to abrasion and has no signs of abrasion. In addition, the fabric is relatively smooth which also contributes to the good wearing comfort What is not smooth at all, is the seam in the heel cup here I would have liked a heel strap like the Haix KSK Elite. Without the necessary cornea, it will come here to blisters for one or the other here. Last but not least, the insoles, which I really like in Haix shoes because they are not just for visual reasons but also somewhat cushioning and antibacterial. A little tip: always take out the insoles after taking off to prevent mold growth. Lets come to conclusion. Guys, that was the Black Eagle Athletic 2.0 and I think the shoe is pretty good except for a few little things. I really liked the design with the look and the good mixture of everything. So light boots, sporty, with some protection. A good alternative to the Lowa Zephyr. But I have to say that I like the feeling of protection in the Lowa something better. For this, the Haix is still a bit sportier. build quality and used materials also very good. So far, no flaws have been noticed. if something changes, I’ll let you know, of course. So now to the negative points The weak point that I already had at the Zephyr there is a seam here in the kink which has been processed at Haix in the same place. Whether the seam at the Haix will also tear, I do not know. I will see. I will let you know. Anyway, I would not have processed the seam there anymore Then the seam in the heel cup which is a bit rough at the beginning because then a heel strap would not have been bad. But that’s just at the beginning, after a while it’s gone. So it’s not a permanent negative point. Ähhhhm. That was it again. I have no more negative points. I think the boots are very good, nice and light, comfortable to wear, a good all-rounder. Write down in the comments which points are important for you in a shoe review. Then maybe I can improve something. Until next time. Take Care!
