Cumberland County deputies arrest suspect barricaded at home with weapons


MULTIPLE AGENCIES.. WORKING TOGETHER TO ARREST A SUSPECT THEY SAY BARRICADED HIMSELF IN HIS HOME. DOUG IT ALL STARTED AFTER A DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CALL.. TEARSA: CUMBERLAND COUNTY DEPUTIES.. REPORTING TO A HOME ALONG RUSSELL RIDGE ROAD.. JUST BEFORE 6 LAST NIGHT. WHEN THEY ARRIVED.. THEY DISCOVERED THE SUSPECT HAD BARRICADED HIMSELF INSIDE.. ARMED WITH MULTIPLE WEAPONS.. THAT WERE LOADED AND POSITIONED THROUGHOUT THE HOME. MULTIPLE UNITS AND THE JOINT SWAT TEAM OF THE CROSSVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT – SETTING UP A PERIMETER.. AFTER INTERVIEWS WITH FAMILY.. IT WAS REVEALED THE SUSPECT INSIDE WAS 76-YEAR-OLD JAMES REAGAN.. WHO SUFFERS FROM ALZHEIMER’S. NEGOTIATORS.. WORKING WITH REAGAN FOR NEARLY 2 HOURS TO CONVINCE HIM TO SURRENDER WITHOUT A FIGHT.. REAGAN WAS TAKEN TO THE CUMBERLAND MEDICAL CENTER FOR A MENTAL EVALUATION.. AND CHARGES ARE PENDING THIS MORNING. DOUG AN EAST TENNESSEE TEEN AT THE CENTER OF A T-B-I ENDANGERED CHILD ALERT.. IS FOUND
