Boots to Business from the U.S. Small Business Administration Boots to business is an entrepreneurial education and training program offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration as a training track within the Department of Defense’s Transition Assistance Program. The Small Business Administration partners with the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University on program curriculum development, course materials and instruction. As a follow-on training to the in person Boots to Business classes being offered, the Institute for Veterans and Military Families hosts three online learning tracks for anyone who has completed the two-day in-person Boots to Business class, or the one-day ReBoot class. The three tracks offered completely online are BUsiness Fundamentals, which includes several modules to include subjects of marketing, sales, accounting and more; Market Research/Market Fit, to help determine how and who to sell your product or service to; and Specialty Tracks, which works to connect you to Industry leading resources in subjects including hospitality and government contracting. These tracks are designed to meet the student wherever they are in their entrepreneurial journey. For more information, or to sign up for a class visit the Boots to Business page on the Institute for Veterans and Military Families website (ivmf.syracuse.edu) or call 315-443-6898.
