SENATE MAJORITY LEADER MITCH McCONNELL SAID THE SENATE WILL VOTE ON THE CONFIRMATION ONCE THE FBI FINISHES ITS WORK. AN ARMY MEDIC TODAY RECEIVED THE MILITARY’S HIGHEST AND MOST PRESTIGIOUS HONOR FOR VALOR. 39-YEAR-OLD STAFF SERGEANT RONALD SHERR RECEIVED THE MEDAL FOR WHAT HAPPENED A DECADE AGO IN AFGHANISTAN. HE HELPED INSURGENTS KEEP THEM AT BAY FOR HOURS WHILE HE TENDED TO OTHER MEMBERS OF THE SPECIAL FORCES UNIT AND WITH HIM ON THAT DAY A NORTH TEXAS SPECIAL FORCES GREEN BERET WHO THE PRESIDENT ALSO MENTIONED TODAY AT THAT CEREMONY, JOHN WAYNE WALDING OF FRISCO IN THAT VERY SAME BATTLE IN SHOCK VALLEY.
